Summer on Fire

2023, Wood cut with chine-collé, 31.5 x 23.5 inches

 On the East coast the summer of 2023 started with forest fires, smoke and air unfit to breath. Across North America a disjointed jet stream held a heat doom stationary in the south and west while overwhelming New England in rain. This paper was on the ground for 10 days covered with leaves, pine needles and a red oak stump.
