Ibrahim Miranda

In the fall of 2010 Ibrahim Miranda and Steven Daiber collaborated on an exhibition Rompecabezas: Identidad. Their work together began with the use of a 1979 atlas of Cuba. The exhibition opened on October 21, 2011 and went through the end of November at Galeria Servando Cabrere in Havana.

For over twenty years now, Miranda’s work has relied heavily on the use of maps. Typically, his work takes on the form of long scrolls of map pages glued together in the shapes of animals or other figures. In this set of images, one can see Miranda working on a print at Taller Nelson Domingo.
