In March 2016 we had the good luck to witness a historic moment in Havana- Obama’s visit and the Rolling Stones. Now almost two year later after a few house projects the consumed the summers of 2016 and 2017 and a death defying illness (neither of which where much fun) and with the help of a few friends Roiling Habana is finished. Just in time for the presentation at the NYC ARLIS-NA annual convention.
Come by for a visit, please.
What about all that hope and euphoria from the spring of 2016? Well! The US embassy is effectually closed to Cubans wanting to travel to the States, natural and political hurricanes and calamities keep the island in the reality of la lucha. “Steve this is worse the Bush Presidency.”
Maybe a little hope? . . . tempered by the realities of life was evident during my three-week visit this winter.
Cuba: Same, Same and always different.
Better photos of Roiling Habana up as soon.
